a trash can.The Fort Lauderdale, Florida
woman, is now under investigation in
relation to this incident, police said this
week. "Officers arrived at the motel and
later found the body of a baby in a
dumpster outside," Fort Lauderdale
Police Det. DeAnna Garcia said.
Someone wrapped the child in a towel
and put it in a pillowcase before
throwing it away in the trash, Det.
Garcia explained.The police found the
baby on August 10. That was the same
day that emergency physicians at
Broward General Medical Center treated
Alexandria Sladon-Marler, who is 33-
years-old."I asked her what she thought
she was suffering from," Det. Garcia
said. "She advised she had an abortion.
We discovered that was not true. She
gave birth to a child," Garcia said.ER
